We seek a smart and hardworking Catering Coordinator with a passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable events to join our Team This position is highly visible in our organization and the incumbent will be a key member of our Operations Team.

Dependability, reliability, and ability to learn quickly are critical factors to success in this role.

Please note this position will be based out of our Richmond Hill location for the time being. However, it is expected that this role will eventually be based out of our Downtown location.

We are also exploring potential WFH options (i.e., 1 - 2 days a week) for individuals who demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the role.

**Job Summary**

Big City Catering is searching for a detail-oriented Catering Coordinator to handle all incoming bookings for our company. In this role, you will work directly with clients to understand their needs and ensure that their expectations are correctly captured and clearly communicated to our Kitchen and Delivery Teams.

**You’re day-to-day**
- Qualify and record incoming inquires for catering events
- Prepare proposals and for clients in our software (some can be complex and require working closely with the Kitchen)
- Prepare job details for the Kitchen and Delivery Teams
- Identify clients’ requirements and expectations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events from beginning to end
- Manage calendar for catering events
- Schedule, track, and coordinate client menu tastings
- Communicate with staff internally on event details, updates and changes
- Provide coordination assistance between Commissary Kitchen and Unit Managers
- Demonstrate superior time management skills which include managing multiple events and activities at the same time
- Oversee that each event is properly staffed, equipped and that all goes well from start to finish
- Coordinate and expedite Front of House set ups and breakdowns
- General office procedures such as invoices, storing and filing invoices, tracking staffing and rental orders

**What we’re looking for**
- **2 - 3+ years in a similar capacity is mandatory**:

- Top organization skills, superior multitasking ability, and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Scrupulous attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing documents
- Strong administrative skills and computational ability
- Comfortable learning new software, systems, processes, and procedures
- Analytical ability and online research skills required to gather and summarize data for reports
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines
- Able to work at a very fast pace often with little to no supervision
- Ability to take ownership and initiative

**Position Type / Expected Hours of Work**
Given the nature of the industry, flexibility in work timings is needed. Weekend work is occasionally required.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
