**JOB SUMMARY**
- You are responsible for coordinating, managing and/or providing input into various projects and activities related to a wide range of initiatives and strategies including legislative agenda, communication/human resources/technical / operational plans, policies, programs, procedures, protocols and standards related to operational effectiveness.
- You serve as a key contact and resource for branch related issues, and support management in the decision making process by conducting research, compiling and analyzing research findings, preparing briefings, writing reports and responses, and maintaining stakeholder relations.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of 4 year university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Social Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience working in a large organization, with demonstrated related experience in project planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience is required in a range of project related elements, such as information technology, public policy, customer service management, communications, organizational change and development, community development, business process modeling, policy and procedure management or human resources, using such tools as project management, document management, and research analysis.

- Applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation related to departmental / branch programs and services

- Protocols for developing submissions, briefings, major reports

- Corporate, departmental, and branch policies and procedures

- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.

- Possess organizational and project management skills and flexibility to plan, initiate, organize and prioritize own work, and to deal effectively with multiple priorities/demands, conflicting priorities, pressures and deadlines

- Strong communications skills in multiple channels - in-person, writing, groups, etc.
- Able to conduct research, compile/analyze issues/data, make judgments on the interpretation of issues/data, and formulate recommendations

- Able to prepare reports, presentation materials, correspondence in an organized, clear and concise manner
