**New Start is hiring a full-time Case Manager as part of our “Fatherhood Matters” program**.

**About New Start**:
New Start is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting healthy relationships and addressing intimate partner and family violence. Our services include individual and group counselling for those who have used abuse or violence within their relationships and counselling for partners/former partners of clients. In addition, New Start offers social work services and resource navigation for clients, and programming for fathers and father figures through our Fatherhood Matters team.

**About the role**:
The **Case Manager** will work as part of the New Start team responsible for the delivery of **Fatherhood Matters**, providing parenting support and education to individuals who identify as fathers or father figures (70%). This role will also support the Fatherhood Matters team in the delivery of group programming, workshops, and events (30%). The **Case Manager** must demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude, as well as initiative, self-direction and teamwork. The **Case Manager** will build collaborative partnerships within the community and other parenting supports, and represent the organization as part of committees and networks as required. The **Case Manager**is also responsible for contributing to general New Start programming and participating in team meetings as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience working with parents and families
- Demonstrated experience with program facilitation
- Demonstrated understanding of a trauma-informed approach to service delivery
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in a human service field considered an asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a professional team
- Ability to effectively manage a client caseload, including appropriate documentation
- Experience working with diverse communities and identities using social determinants of health lens
- Ability to establish and maintain personal/program boundaries, while providing supportive services
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with community partners
- Satisfactory criminal record check, First Aid & CPR-C training or willingness to obtain

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
