Agency Consultant

**Position Overview**:
Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you believe in advancing a child’s development through child-led innovative, creative, and play-based exploration? We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Day Home Agency Consultant to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will work closely with day home providers, offering guidance, support, and expertise to ensure they are delivering the best possible learning environment for children. A deep knowledge of the Alberta Flight Curriculum and Montessori Principles is key, as you’ll be helping educators implement these frameworks in their day homes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Consulting & Support: Provide one-on-one coaching and group training to dayhome providers, helping them develop and enhance their curriculum, ensuring it aligns with best practices in early childhood education, including Flight and Montessori.

Curriculum Implementation: Assist dayhomes in integrating the Flight Curriculum and Montessori Methods into their daily routines. Support the creation of engaging, child-centered activities that promote growth in all developmental areas.

Assessment & Feedback: Conduct regular site visits to assess dayhome environments, ensuring they comply with Alberta's regulations and standards for dayhomes and that they maintain high standards of care and safety. Provide constructive feedback and actionable strategies for improvement.

Resource Development: Curate and provide resources to dayhome providers, offering tools, activities, and teaching materials that support curriculum goals and children’s developmental milestones.

Community Building: Foster a strong community of dayhome providers by organizing workshops, networking events, and professional development opportunities.

Family Engagement: Support dayhome providers in building positive, open relationships with families, ensuring that parents are kept informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.

**Key Qualifications**:
Level 2 or Level 3 Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a dayhome agency.

Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Passionate about children’s development, learning, and well-being, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.

Knowledge of the Flight Curriculum (Alberta’s early learning framework) and Montessori principles is essential.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport and engage with diverse audiences.

Energetic, creative, and solution-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Experience in coaching or mentoring educators and providing professional development opportunities is a plus.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with dayhome providers.
