**Company Profile**

Day One Society (Phoenix Centre) provides substance use services and advocacy for individuals, families and communities. We have a 20-bed inpatient detox unit, outpatient youth counselling, youth day treatment and supportive recovery programs.

Job Summary:
This part-time position requires flexibility and responsiveness. Reporting to the Detox Supervisor, the part-time housekeeper maintains the Phoenix Centre Detox Unit at an acceptable level of cleanliness and a second location at 782 Seymour Street.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Cleans all areas of the Detox Unit.
- Stocking and cleaning of client washrooms.
- Cleans client rooms 1-10 and client lounges.
- Maintains cleaning equipment.
- Reports any problems in the facilities, which require repairs and/or maintenance.
- Cleans 782 Seymour Street in accordance with the standards established.
- Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications Education
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certificate relevant to institutional cleaning from a recognized educational institute preferred.
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in institutional housekeeping.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset
Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions without supervision.
- Ability to work with both staff and clients.
- Dependable, mature attitude.
- Respects confidentiality.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $19.29-$20.66 per hour
