Reporting directly to the Manager, Real Estate and Annual Reviews. The Credit Risk Review Analyst is part of a team of professionals whose primary purpose is to complete independent, objective Quality Assurance reviews of commercial and personal credit transactions and provide reasonable assurance that all of Manulife Bank's credit risk policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines are being adhered to. The Credit Risk Review Officer will also make recommendations on training needs and modifications to policy documents as appropriate.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the regular review of a representative sample of loans and assessments of commercial and personal loans, loan adjudication quality through the evaluation of documentation, compliance to company policy, standard, procedures and adherence to all financial industry regulations.
- By review of individual loans using an established review methodology, assist in identifying actual and potential loan problems at the earliest possible time by making recommendations to remediate credit weaknesses.
- By review of individual loans and interaction with various lending areas, assist in measuring compliance with established loan policies/procedures and with financial industry regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships and work collaboratively with all lines of business to analyze root causes, patterns or trends in order to assist in the development and implementation of recommended solutions to problems uncovered during the loan review process. In addition the officer to make recommendations on ongoing enhancements to the Quality Assurance program as required.

**What we are looking for**
- 2 - 5 years of experience in underwriting/loan review/credit review of Retail and/or Commercial banking products.
- Firm grasp of lending credit principles and financial industry regulatory environment in relation to credit products.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Excellent ability to work in a team environment.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the confidence, credibility, and ability to work effectively within the organization
- Highest level of professionalism, self-motivation and sense of urgency with the ability to work successfully with mínimal direct supervision.
- Experience using MS Office (MS Word and Excel).
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset for this role.
