Environmental Driller

Overview: This is a supervisory position

To organize, direct, perform & supervise all mobilization and drilling activities as per scope of work indicated on job sheets while promoting a safe work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand and implement required scope of work as per JED job sheets and supervise loading of appropriate tooling and supplies.
- Complete appropriate load securement, pre and post trip vehicle inspections, driving company vehicles in a manner that is safe and courteous, following all applicable speed limits and laws, completing drivers logs as per federal DOT regulations and hours of service.
- Perform drill rig inspections, correct minor deficiencies within their scope of knowledge and to fully complete all mandatory paperwork (eg. rig inspection checklist).
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying and completing daily site job hazard assessments and tailgate meetings, enforcing the controls and completing all mandatory paperwork.
- Enforce company policies and procedures as well as government legislation pertaining to their intended work activity.
- Competently perform various forms of drilling including auger, hollow stem, air rotary, odex, direct push, coring, etc.
- Safely operate the rig and supervise/train and direct the swamper, taking disciplinary action if required.

Job Requirements:

- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent (exceptions may apply).
- Sufficient English language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job related tasks.
- Environmental drilling experience (auger, air, mud rotary, and diamond core) is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- Class 1 or 3 driver’s license preferred.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Clear understanding and compliance with ALL company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Physical fit and able to lift 50lbs comfortably (job performance physical required).
- Required oilfield tickets - H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, Ground Disturbance - level 2, TDG (Must be completed before employment commences).
Mandatory drug and alcohol testing. COVID Vaccination QR Code.

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Environmental Drilling: 2 years (preferred)
- oil and gas: 2 years (preferred)
