Your Opportunity:
Make a significant impact on patient-focused health care as a Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) Supervisor. NFS is a provincial program that is committed to provide nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, staff, visitors and the community. You will have the unique opportunity to lead teams within two home sites, the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre (0.5 FTE) and Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre (0.5 FTE) NFS department. Rimbey HCC is a 107-bed facility with 23 acute care beds and 84 long term care beds, and Ponoka HCC is a 57-bed facility with 29 acute care beds and 28 long term care beds. NFS Supervisors provide direction to front line workers (i.e. Food Services Workers and Cooks) and ensure patients receive the meals required to promote good health. You will be integrated as part of a dynamic team that includes other NFS Supervisors, Managers and Dietitians. Key competencies required for this role include: Ability to foster, build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, customer focused orientation and commitment to provide a quality service. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in staff. Demonstrated ability to implement change and handle competing priorities with mínimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal and written communications skills. The Supervisor position is an introduction to the operations management stream and could lead to other opportunities within Food Services Management.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a related field. Experience working with Microsoft Applications. Experience managing human, financial and physical resources.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience working in a Food Services supervisory role. Experience in a hospital or a long term care setting. Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship. Completion of safe food handling certificate. Experience supervising a unionized workforce. Experience leading projects and organizational initiatives. Experience with process improvement & change management methodologies (ie. Prosci, Lean Six Sigma). Experience supervising within a multi-site operating environment.
