Seasonal (Seasonal) **WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?** Resort Perks: - Free Alterra Mountain Pass for employees; ski or ride for free at 14 Alterra owned destinations - Alterra Mountain Passes for your family - Discounts on Blue Mountain Lift tickets. - Free rentals; - Staff priced meals &Starbucks treats; - Staff room rates at all our hotels;Retail savings at Burton, Columbia, North Face, Red Devil, Hillside, and more **Hourly Rate**:$20.91/hr **Status**:Seasonal, Full-Time hours **Start**: November - Beginning of March **Shifts**: 12-hour, overnight shifts. 7pm-7am **WHAT WILL I BE DOING?** The Snowmaking department is primarily responsible for providing the snow base for the timely opening and operation of the Resort's skiable terrain for the ultimate ski and snowboard experience. - All duties of a Maintenance Worker I, Snowmaking - Monitor snowmaking equipment: starting/stopping of pumps, air compressors and snow guns. - Monitoring control center, updating and making changes as necessary. - Perform preventative maintenance work on the snowmaking system. - Assist with leak repairs in season - Installing new hydrant locations - Adjusting snow guns. - Trouble Shoot electrical and mechanical issues. **WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?** - Prior heavy equipment experience preferred. - Previous welding and fitting experience an asset - Past experience with operation of a snowmobile preferred. - Mechanically inclined. - Must be over the age of 18 with a valid class "G" driver's license with satisfactory driver abstract - Ability to work independently - Prepared to work in all outdoor conditions - Must be detail oriented and safety conscious **AUTHENTICITY | EMPOWERMENT | COLLABORATION | PURPOSE** **BLUE MOUNTAIN RESORT COMPANY OVERVIEW** Blue Mountain Resort is Ontario's largest mountain resort.
