Position: Project Control Specialist (Canada)

Albion Marine Solutions provides project management, engineering, consultancy and conversion services to maritime and offshore industries. In order to support our growth strategy, Albion Marine Solutions is seeking to recruit Project Control Specialist to support the development of breakdown structures for building and manufacturing projects in new shipbuilding. The project control specialist will analyze and evaluates schedule management and forecasting to assess cost and schedule performance over time.

Location: Delta, BC, Canada

Job Type : Contract

**Responsibilities**
- Drive the successful and timely procurement of materials & services and/or completion of engineering services for shipbuilding projects
- Co-ordinate activities in a large matrixed organization with multiple work groups to successfully drive completion of deliverables
- Preparation of estimates and budget for new scopes of work and managing change control for contract scope changes
- Proactively identify, track, and manage risks to project success and committed timelines & budget.
- Effectively communicate project status and escalations on time to key stakeholders.
- Preparing, supporting, and maintaining quality, value-added analytical reports such as: project cost & budget reports, cash flow reports, project metrics dashboards, etc.
- Monitor schedule float and critical path, man-hours, cost progress and applicable metrics to establish trends and assist in schedule and cost forecasts
- Review invoices against purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and certification of payments
- Assist in setting up and maintaining project schedules and cost control systems and documentation for ongoing projects
- Learn and understand the various processes and procedures followed in shipbuilding

**Requirements & Skills**
- Must have five years of experience as Project Control Specialist in developing work breakdown structures for build and manufacturing projects using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), scheduling systems and resource planning techniques.
- Graduate with a degree in related field (Engineering, Technology, Science, Project Management, Business, Finance)
- Primavera P6 - previous experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience in a project control work environment with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) & EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, & Management)
- Detail and goal oriented.
- Driven individual, focused on learning.
- Requires highly effective skills in planning and organization
