Controls Specialist

**Your**Purpose**:
As a Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, programming, testing, documentation, and installation of the electrical and automation control systems on Unifiller Equipment. You will be working on a variety of different sizes of equipment, ranging from single-piston depositors to automated conveyor systems.

**Your**Primary Duties**:

- You will be working closely with project leaders to v erif y control details while creating the electrical schematic diagrams and working with our Purchasing Team to specify and source components used in your electrical design.
- You will p rogram the PLC control systems and HMI screens and verify machine functionality by p erform ing functional and in-house and onsite product testing on the equipment.
- You will d ocument the control systems and write technical operating manuals.
- You will assist the Customer care team by providing customer support and troubleshooting controls-related issues.
- You will train Uni filler staff in control system use.
- You are willing to p erform other duties as assigned.

**Your**Qualifications and Experience**:

- You have an Electrical/Electronics/Automation/Mechatronics Diploma or Degree or similar background.
- You have experience in designing industrial control systems using AutoCAD to create schematic diagrams.
- You are e xperienc ed with PLC control systems, HMI Programming, and industrial networks. Allen Bradley, Unitronics PLC/HMI, and DeviceNet / CANbus /Ethernet IP experience is an asset.
- You are e xperience d with Pneumatic, Stepper, VFD, and Servo control components, their function, and configuration.
- You can work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizati onal and time management skills.
- You are experienc ed in using MRP/ERP, Project management, and MS Office software
- You have a g ood verbal and written command of the English language. Knowledge of different languages is an asset.
- You can interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.
- You exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service.
- You can travel within and outside of Canada for installs, commissioning, and equipment servicing.
