**Length of Contract**: 9 weeks with possibility of extension
**Wage**:$15.4/hour
**Hours**:21/week
**Program Information**:
The Afterschool Program is for participants aged 5-12. The program operates Monday-Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Full day programs will take place during PD days or when school is not in session. The afterschool program offers a healthy snack and structured program sessions to improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of our community.
**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Be onsite Monday to Friday during scheduled program hours
- Facilitate & guide activities throughout the day
- Manage complex behaviours of participants
- Assist with daily tasks: snack preparation & cleanup, leading activities
- Effectively communicate with other staff, supervisors & families
- Monitor children throughout the day and always ensure safety
- Adhere to a daily schedule of activities provided.
- Keep detailed logs of daily interactions with members, incidents & accidents
- Empower the participants to successfully learn and develop appropriate life skills for their abilities
- Assist in the daily upkeep of the center, equipment and supplies
- Actively participate in all programs and activities

Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
