TurF is a three-in-one studio, bistro, and boutique. We bring a conscious sweat, a considered menu, and a thoughtful assortment of things we love. We believe in eating mostly plants and choosing cared-for animal proteins. In our kitchen, “good” means whole, humane and non-processed with no refined sugar. It means we always source from local farms first, and choose organic only when it makes sense.
- **The Role**:_
You will be responsible for preparation of all components of dishes offered in the bistro, as well as the grab & go section. This role will ensure that specific sections of the kitchen are organized and prepared for the morning, and lunchtime services.
- Ensure all recipes are executed in a timely manner, paying attention to measurements, while also focusing on the highest quality of work and detail and supporting the Chef and team in the smooth running of the BOH.
- Handle all avenues of communication - with the line, commissary kitchen and rest of the prep team/bakers.
- Ensure respect and care is taken for all ingredients and display proper technique and safe handling.
- Promote teamwork and display a positive attitude towards educating the customers about TurF.
- Responsible for following standardized recipes, and portioning for completed dishes for the TurF menu.
- Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner.
- Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility.
- Responsible for opening & closing duties which include cleaning, organizing, and weekly / monthly kitchen maintenance projects.
- Preparing ingredients of the TurF Menu to order.
- Setting up and stocking stations.
- Managing hot and cold food stations.
- Opening and closing the line.
- **Who You Are**_
- Has minimum 2+ years of experience in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Has strong principals in regard to proper cooking techniques, and an eye for detail.
- Keen understanding of nutrition, and healthy living.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Has an understanding of basic baking technique
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Weekend availability ( Must be avaiable to work Friday, Saturday + Sunday)
Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:
- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
