**Position: Benefits Administrator**- London, ON - 6 Month Contract, Full Time Hours with potential to be extended
- Processing benefit enrolments and terminations and supporting the administration of employee leaves of absence.
- Administers all new additions, deletions, and changes to group insurance plans through insurance provider website.
- Updates group benefit related payroll deduction and taxable benefit coding in payroll software.
- Manage all activities related to employees’ disability claims including the facilitation and timely submission of paperwork. Collaborate with employees, managers, and insurance carriers with respect to return to work and accommodation. Liaise with Payroll to report absences, research discrepancies, and resolve employee record issues.
- Prepares monthly group benefits billings for remittance.
- Assists with entering data and uploads hours for multiple locations for hourly non-unionized and hourly unionized payroll, incorporating pay rules from multiple unions, regulatory agencies and corporate policies and procedures, cross verify data entries in preparation of transmitting for processing.
**Experience/Requirements**:
- Benefit and payroll education and/or relevant experience.
- Experience working in a benefit administration setting including an understanding of human resource practices.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge and ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus as well as a positive and professional attitude towards assisting internal and external customers.
- Commitment to the principles of confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and flexible at meeting multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Understanding of payroll processes is a preferred qualification.
- Have a positive, steady and upbeat approach to day-to-day tasks
- Contribute to an inclusive, motivating and appreciation centric environment for all coworkers
