**Job Description**:
***:Under the general supervision of the Manager - Talent Acquisition & Development, and the technical direction and guidance of the Manager - Compensation, Benefits & Health Services, is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the job description, job evaluation, and pay equity programs, the procedure review process, and the Corporation’s organizational restructure process.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides day-to-day consultation services of a routine nature in relation to job classification and pay equity maintenance processes for all levels of staff in the organization, which includes preparing new or amended job descriptions.
- Liaises with supervisors and managers to assist with, and prepare, new or amended job descriptions. Consults with Labour Relations, meets and/or corresponds with bargaining agents, as required, to finalize new or amended unionized job descriptions.
- Facilitates and coordinates the functions of joint management/union job evaluation committees; acts as Corporate Chairperson for job evaluation committees, as required.
- Coordinates, monitors and applies job description, job fact sheet, and job evaluation processes and results.
- Maintains files, correspondence and records relating to the job description and job evaluation processes. Monitors job evaluation results for pay equity compliance and prepares pay equity plans for posting, as required.
- Maintains the non-affiliated pay program.
- Coordinates and implements Corporate restructures, including required job description updates, organizational chart updates, and all required Corporate databases, systems and structures.
- Maintains and annually reconciles corporate organizational charts.
- Coordinates the procedure review process and as assigned assists with research, writing and identifying procedures that require updates.
- Participates in and conducts compensation and organizational structure surveys.
- Partners with HR Management to design, develop and execute strategic and innovative job classification, job evaluation, and pay equity initiatives to help build talent classifications that meet organizational needs, and are fair and equitable.
- Participates in divisional key projects, program execution and special initiatives to advance job classifications, job evaluation, and pay equity, processes, programs, and systems as required.
- Conducts research in relation to job classification, job evaluation, and pay equity processes, systems, initiatives, issues and best practices to support and inform the development of programs/initiatives.
- Assists with special projects as required.
- Performs other duties and assists with ongoing projects and other HR tasks as needed and may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Diploma in business, human resources or a related discipline with four (4) years’ experience in a high-volume multi union, technology driven job classification and compensation environment; and
- Demonstrated experience in providing advice to leaders on matters related to job classifications and job evaluations

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing, with the ability to make presentations to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with administration, union executives, co-workers, employees, community target groups and the general public
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal/external customers
- Strong research, planning, organizational and project/time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and overcome challenges
- Exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills
- Well-developed consulting skills
- A self-starter, with a proven ability to operate in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to plan and deliver job evaluation sessions to a variety of audiences using oral, written, and presentation software
- Proven ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
- Must be at an advanced skill level in word processing, and at intermediate sk
