Customers:

- General contractors
- Retail locations
- Door, frame and hardware suppliers
- Commercial business end-users
- Institutions (schools, hospitals, etc.)
- Property management companies
- Government (Federal, Provincial and Municipal)

**Responsibilities will include**:
Accounts Receivable
- Entering quotes/sales orders and ensuring appropriate job costing
- Preparing daily invoices to clients and monthly progress billing
- Receiving payments and reconciling accounts
- Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
- Managing the full collections process and preparing a weekly accounts receivable report
- Preparing bank deposits

Accounts Payable
- Receiving and uploading payables against purchase orders ensuring appropriate job costing, with the support of an accounts payable administrator
- Receiving, preparing, coding and distributing vendor invoices for approval and entry
- Generating vendor aged report and matching invoices for approval
- Vendor statement reconciliation

General
- Performing month-end and year-end reporting procedures
- Performing journal entries
- Preparing and processing in-house payroll using Sage 50 for approximately 30 employees
- Performing company procurement
- Managing inventory and providing recommendations
- Visa and bank reconciliation
- Creating and maintaining position procedures manual
- Filing WSIB, EHT, GST/HST and source remittances
- Filing corporate tax installments/payments
- Other duties/projects as assigned by the Controller
- Post-secondary education in accounting and finance or a combination of relative education and experience
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, performing full-cycle accounting functions
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Flexibility, adaptability and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-company environment
- The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently, verbally and in writing
- Highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and math skills
- An understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relating to accounting
- Proficiency in Simply Accounting or other similar accounting software
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products including exceptional Excel capabilities
- Experience working in an accounting role within a multi-company environment will be considered an asset
- Experience with progress billing and job costing in a multi-company environment
- Bilingualism in French and English will be considered an asset
