**We're Hiring: Experienced Excavator Operator - Earthworks Construction**

Are you a pro behind the levers with a sixth sense for slope and soil? We’re looking for a skilled **Excavator Operator** to join our earthworks team on heavy civil construction projects across Alberta.

**About the Role**:
You’ll operate hydraulic excavators to dig, trench, grade, and move earth with precision. We need someone who can hit grade, work with a tight crew, and keep safety front and center.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate excavators (5T-30T) to complete trenching, backfilling, site prep, and bulk excavation
- Read and interpret grades, site plans, and staking
- Work closely with foremen, gradesmen, and other operators to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and light servicing
- Maintain strict compliance with Alberta OHS and company safety policies

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 5 years’ experience** operating excavators in civil construction or earthworks
- **Alberta CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training System) Certificate**:

- **Valid Ground Disturbance Level II certification** (required for trench and utility work)
- **Standard First Aid Level A/CPR**:

- **Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License** (Class 3 or higher preferred)
- Strong understanding of grades, slope, and soil types
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and be part of a fast-paced team

**Assets (Nice to Have)**:

- Experience using **Trimble or Topcon GPS systems**:

- Additional equipment tickets (skid steer, dozer, roller, etc.)
- **H2S Alive** (preferred for remote work or pipeline-related projects)
- Experience on subdivision, road building, or commercial site prep projects
