Facilities Supervisor

**POSITION: ONE (1) TEMPORARY FULL TIME SUPERVISOR**

**SITE: NBRHC - NORTH BAY**

**HOURS: DAYS**

The Supervisor, Facilities Support plays a key leadership role by coaching, mentoring, training, providing direction and ensuring quality of the services they are responsible for: Materiel Management, Switchboard, Patient Distribution, Non-Urgent Community Transportation and Grounds. The Supervisor ensures the efficient operation and delivery of patients, equipment and supplies across the Health Centre. The Supervisor will possess strong customer service skills and leadership capabilities to make quick decisions and problem solve. On an ongoing basis, the Supervisor is responsible for creating and updating educational programs including orientation of new staff, e-learns and other departmental resources.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**:

- Business Administration Diploma or relevant post-secondary education from an accredited institution and/or equivalent combination of education and healthcare experience required

**Certificates/Experience/Knowledge**:

- Health and Safety for Leaders/Supervisors certificate an asset
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience supervising in a Healthcare environment
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificate required
- Knowledge of Meditech (Expanse) is an asset
- Familiarity with CUPE Collective Agreement required
- Previous scheduling and payroll experience in an unionized environment required
- Strong organization/time management, problem solving and leadership skills required

- Good judgement in priority-setting in fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload and rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Proven ability of interdepartmental collaboration and the ability to motivate others
- Demonstrated discretion and maturity when handling confidential information
- Strong computer skills, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Well-developed team building, conflict management and consensus-building skills
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
- Must be available for shift work
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure personal safety, safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events required
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a requirement
