This position also provides field support for the design, and implementation of newly landscaped areas in the City of Kitchener. Seasonal winter duties may include tasks such as snow plowing, salting, shoveling, and the maintenance and inspections of ice rinks and toboggan hills. - Responsibilities: - Cultivates areas for planting including transplanting bulbs and plants in flowerbeds and planters. - Planting and maintaining flowerbeds including removing bulbs, litter, and unwanted vegetation; adding, amending, and leveling soil. Also including activities such as watering, fertilizing, and weeding; ensuring that locations aesthetics are maintained to corporate standard. - Performing pruning responsibilities of plants that require maintenance. - Participates in preparing seasonal planters including design, planting & maintenance.
