$17.20 per hour (starting)

**Hours**:
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday

This is a full-time, live-out or live-in (optional) position. The hours will primarily be early mornings and afternoons/evenings to assist with getting the children ready for school and for aftercare in the afternoon/evening.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide attentive, full-time care to children in our home
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and diapering (as needed)
- Engage in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Tend to the emotional well-being and social development of the children
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children (e.g., tidying toys, laundry, cleaning up after meals)
- Follow nap/bedtime routines

**Requirements**:

- Completion of secondary school
- Basic English language ability (speaking, reading, understanding)
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and nurturing
- First Aid/CPR training (or willingness to complete upon hire)

**Assets (Not Required)**:

- Education training or coursework
- Child care experience (paid or unpaid, in Canada or abroad)
- Experience with multiple children or infants
- First Aid/CPR
- Ability to assist with light meal prep and general tidying
