Doggy Daycare Group Play Leader

Group Play Leader duties include but are not limited to:

- Using consistent group play management techniques to safely lead groups of 2-20 dogs (training will be provided).
- Assessing prospective dogs for suitability in group play and making recommendations based on dog body language and socialization methodology.
- Using written and oral communication skills to deliver notes on dogs’ behaviour to both supervisory/management team and clients where applicable.
- Cleaning and sterilizing activity areas and equipment using Parker Pet Care’s company procedures.
- Identifying and reporting possible health conditions observed while dogs are present in the group play setting (training will be provided).
- THIS IS AN ACTIVE/PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB. Employees will be expected to be on their feet for the majority of their 8 hour shift (30 minute paid breaks are provided).

Shifts are generally 7am to 3pm or 9am to 5pm with rotating weekends. Our Animal Care building is open 365 days a year. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory.

We have an expanding dog training department and successful Group Play Leaders may be eligible to apprentice as a future Puppy School Teacher/Dog Trainer.

**Salary**: $15.50-$18.25 per hour
