Happy Tails is located in North Vancouver, near the Phibbs Transit Exchange off Dollarton Highway. We have two main play groups and an outdoor play yard for the dogs to romp and play.

We are currently looking to add one part-time member to our team. If you are a dog lover, comfortable working in a group of dogs, can work as a team and independently this is the job for you

Dog Attendant Responsibilities-may include but are not limited to: Monitoring the dogs in the play groups, making sure they are interacting in a safe and fun manner, cleaning up after the dogs when they potty, cleaning the facility with other team members. Along with checking dogs in and out on the computer and communicating with clients with great customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

- Cleaning and sanitizing; washing and drying all used towels, blankets, bowls and toys
- Preparing enrichment activities
- Facilitating a fun, structured and safe group play environment
- Upholding high cleaning standards
- Making sure all dogs in play have access to clean, fresh water at all time.
- engaging the dogs with toys and creative play
- practicing focus games and activities with the dogs
- setting up different enrichment activities for each day's dogs
- taking daycare dogs for on leashed, potty break walks
- following daily routine and schedule of rest time/ feeding/ rotation of playrooms

We are looking for a part time attendant for Monday - Fridays between 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm and the occasional on call shifts. Approximately 4-6 hours shifts, a total of 20 hours per week to start with the opportunity to increase to full time hours for the right team member.

This is an entry level position however on the job training will be provided for the right team member.

**REQUIRED & MUST HAVE ATTRIBUTES**:

- Must currently reside in British Columbia
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
- Fluent in English, spoken and written for client communication and reporting
- Reliable and punctual
- Confident taking care of small and large dog breeds and all types of animals
- Supporter and promoter of positive reinforcement handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrate calmness and prepared to troubleshoot when mishaps occur
- Effective time management and quick thinking skills
- Must be able to pick-up 50lbs
- Be comfortable being on your feet for multiple hours
- Be able to work in a loud environment
