Reporting to the Senior Business Partner the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the timely production of accurate consolidated financial information for management and business leaders. Specifically, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
**This is a 18 month contract with a possibility to become permanent**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process;
- Ensure compliance with internal and external financial policies and regulations including all major balance sheet reconciliations and subledgers;
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis, presentations and reports as required;
- Supporting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages and presentations;
- Providing variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast;
- Contribute to the month-end close process, including analysis, closing entries, explanations, etc;
- Assisting with the development and implementation of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements;
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external financial policies and regulations;
- Support external and Government audits;
- Work directly with FP&A and operations to coordinate reporting requirements;
- Work as a team with the corporate accounting group and collaborate with all departments across the enterprise.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- CPA, CA designation required;
- Two to four years of relevant financial accounting experience;
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices including IFRS;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English);
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines;
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information;
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all categories of employees;
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and operate at an optimal level;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
