The North West Company (NWC) is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Canadian Operations unit. In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable team and process invoices for payment to suppliers; ensuring correct charges are allocated to the stores and warehouses, including expense and inventory.

**Your Role**:

- Accurately enter invoices in PeopleSoft on a daily basis meeting vendor payment terms;
- Scan invoices daily to Rossum for confirmation before interfacing to PeopleSoft;
- Monitor recycled vouchers daily in PeopleSoft, identify discrepancies on invoices, follow up with appropriate research and make the necessary corrections before routing for payment approval.
- Open and distribute mail, scan invoices to Rossum or file invoices daily;

**Desired Skills & Experience**:

- Previous data entry experience is required;
- Basic accounting experience is an asset;
- Ability to analyze and problem solve;
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy, with attention to detail;
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service;
- Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills; and,
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
