**Assistant Equipment Manager**

The **Assistant Equipment Manager** position will include the following duties:

- Assist the equipment manager in coordinating and implementing a detailed maintenance program for all golf course equipment and machinery.
- Follow the daily work list and supervise the staff in the proper and safe use of equipment.
- Assist in developing a detailed record keeping program for all equipment.
- Daily equipment inspection, fault diagnosis and repair.
- Washing and lubrication of machinery.
- Reel to bed knife adjustment, and morning set up of mowers.
- Shop cleanliness and inventory management.
- Interest in an apprenticeship to obtain red seal certification in a related mechanical field.
- Any mechanical/power equipment experience is an asset.
- Capacity to use a computer and ability to problem solve quickly.
- A background in welding, fabrication, small engine repair.
- Able to communicate effectively in both verbally and in written form.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn is a necessity.
- Aptitude for Mechanical problem diagnosis and repair work methods.
- Possess attention to detail and have the ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
- A valid class 5 BC drivers’ licence is required for the position.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Competitive wage and benefits $27 -$31/ per hour - negotiable upon employment and experience.
- Free golf and staff discounts on restaurant meals, pro shop items and range balls
- Flexible work schedule 24 -40 hours per week seasonally March to November.

Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club is a unique 27-hole golf course located in Coquitlam, British Columbia, approximately 30 kilometres from downtown Vancouver. The facilities include: an 18-hole championship course, an Executive Length 9-hole course, as well as a full-service driving range. We are a privately-owned facility offering a complete golf experience that caters to resort / destination guests, course members, weddings and special events.

**Salary**: $27.00-$31.00 per hour
