- **Responsibilities**:_
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians in delivering excellent care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with patient restraint for examinations and procedures.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Collecting and analsying laboratory samples, including ear cytology, bloodwork and urinalysis.
- Performing radiographic imaging/X-rays.
- Assisting and preparing patients for surgeies under the supervision of veterinarians.
- Including IV catheter placement, anesthetic induction and endotrachael tube placement, anesthetic monitoring, patients care pre and post-operative monitoring.
- Providing compassionate nursing care and monitoring vital signs.
- Educating pet owners on proper animal care, including medication administration and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintaining and assisting with accurate medical records and updating patient files.
- Ensuring a clean and sterile environment by following proper sanitation protocols.
- **Qualifications**:_
To excel in this role, we require the following qualifications:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Abiliy to work weekends.
