**Core Duties and Responsibilities**
As a Credit Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Extract and analyze data from financial institution systems for communication with borrowers;
- Prepare correspondence with borrowers and/or communicate with team members to confirm next steps;
- Manage borrower and file related deadlines, prioritize files based on rate of recovery;
- Review due diligence related to recovery/enforcement of debt;
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of file information for clients; and,
- Coordinating all reporting requirements for clients and lawyers.
**Qualifications and Skills**
To be successful, you possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset;
- Previous experience working in customer service;
- Proven ability to think critically, problem solve, and make sound judgement calls;
- Experience working in debt recovery considered a significant asset;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong ability to manage your time and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in deadline driven work environment; and,
- Ability to achieve financial and other specified targets.
