**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take dental x-rays and ensure proper handling of imaging equipment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Open Dental
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental software systems (Dentrix, Open Dental) is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be advantageous.

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
