**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing care to seniors and those with disabilities.
**Duties**
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting concerns to nursing staff
- Engage patients in activities that promote physical and mental well-being
- Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through patience and understanding
**Skills**
- Experience in assisted living or senior care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including hospice care and working with people with disabilities
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient mobility
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in patient areas
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
