**Automation Specialist, Cambridge Location**
Maple Automotive Corporation (MAC), located in Woodstock, ON, is currently looking for an Automation Specialist to join our ever-growing team. MAC is part of the Toyota Tsusho Group of companies located world-wide, and we are part of a multi-market, multi-business enterprise with expertise in exporting and importing, new manufacturing, intermediate goods processing and logistics in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Design and implement automation solutions for various manufacturing processes.
- Program and configure industrial robots, PLCs, and other automation equipment.
- Optimize existing automated systems for improved efficiency and productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems and processes.
- Train and support operators and maintenance personnel on automated equipment.
- Stay current with emerging automation technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- **Required Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and robot programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with major automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, ABB, FANUC) Familiarity with industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- **Preferred Qualifications**:_
- Designation in a relevant engineering field
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMSE, CSIA) Experience with simulation software and digital twin technology.
- Knowledge of machine vision systems and quality control automation.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
