Are you passionate about maintaining critical healthcare equipment? Join our team as a technician and make a difference in patient care. As a skilled technician, you’ll play a vital role in evaluating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating endoscopy equipment, electrosurgical devices, and other systems.
**What you’ll do**:
This role is responsible for a variety of functions that include, but are not limited to:
- Effective use of technical knowledge and experience to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, complete quality performance and testing procedures on endoscopy equipment, electrosurgical equipment and other biomedical equipment as assigned.
- Attend training on reprocessing, inspection, maintenance and repair processes.
- Perform bench type processes to complete major/minor repairs on rigid, semi-rigid and flexible endoscopes based on the QA inspection findings.
- Perform final quality inspection on the completed repair to ensure the product conforms to manufacturer’s original specifications.
- Preparation of biomedical equipment for customer demonstration and/or conferences.
- Effective use of technical knowledge and experience to manage customer service issues.
- Complete all Service Work Order documentation, expense reports, and other assigned reports in a timely manner.
- Perform preventive maintenances, service calls and assist with the installation of new equipment at healthcare customers’ facilities, as required.
- Work collaboratively and support the service, sales, marketing, logistics, and finances teams to meet the service objective of Quality and Service Excellence to exceed customer expectations.
- Other task and responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor as they arise.
**Requirements**:
The successful individual will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- College Diploma (Electronics Technician or equivalent).
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Repair Service-related position is a definite asset.
- Highly professional individual with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently yet enjoys collaborating with team members and other departments.
- Excellent verbal and written business level communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to details, meticulous by nature, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple ‘urgent’ requests as is the nature of the Service industry.
- Must be able to multi-task and manage and meet tight service-related timelines.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft AX, Spire and SharePoint would be an asset but can train as necessary
**Test equipment knowledge**:
- Electro-surgical analyzer
- Oscilloscope
- Electrical Safety Analyzer
- Multimeter
**Working Conditions**:
- Office and Laboratory (Service Center, Hospitals) environment.
- Driving to customers’ locations (healthcare customers’ facilities).
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Lifting or moving up to 30 lbs. may be required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional airfare travel may be required.
- Monday to Friday during normal business hours, with occasional evening or weekends shifts.
