Calgary, Canada Hutton Safety Group Full time

**Tired of the same old safety job?** If you’re an HSE professional who wants more than checklists and clipboard compliance—someone who thinks _big picture_, moves fast, and actually wants to change how safety is done—this role is for you. At Hutton Safety Group, we don’t just support safety programs—we **run them** for our clients. You’ll work alongside a team that’s rethinking the status quo and building something better.

**About the Role**

This is not your average HSE Advisor position. At Hutton Safety Group, we’re changing the way safety is done. Leaner, smarter, and more collaborative. We provide fractional HSE department services to over 45 companies across North America, acting as a fully embedded partner. As an HSE Advisor, you’ll help lead this transformation, developing systems, supporting clients, and elevating safety across industries.

This role is **strategic, fast-paced, and mostly office-based**, with occasional travel outside of Calgary (up to 20%). You’ll be embedded in client operations—building systems, advising decision-makers, and ensuring programs are not only compliant but actually work.

**Why Join HSG?**
- **Be part of the change**: We believe safety doesn’t need to be bloated or bureaucratic. Our team members focus on what they do best, whether that’s building systems, mentoring clients, or digging into compliance.
- **Unmatched exposure**: You’ll work across multiple industries and jurisdictions, expanding your skillset faster than in a single-role environment.
- **Team-first mindset**: You’ll collaborate daily with a high-performing team and never be stuck on-call 24/7.
- **Tech-enabled**: We use tools like Asana, Jotform, and digital dashboards to work smart, not harder.

**What You’ll Do**
- Develop and refine HSE & transportation management systems (manuals, policies, ERP's, hazard assessments, training, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with COR/SECOR, NSC, and OH&S legislation
- Provide high-level client support across projects - from program design to execution
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations
- Deliver training, lead meetings, and support client culture-building efforts
- Work with our internal teams to improve the systems and tools we use
- Manage client relationships and ensure a five-star experience
- Participate in our rotating on-call schedule (1 week on, 1 week off) for our 24/7 Emergency/Incident Hotline, when you're off, you're off
- Contribute to other projects that optimize the utilization of your unique expertise.

**What You Bring**
- 5+ years in HSE (bonus for multi-industry or consulting experience)
- An OHS designation (CRSP/T, CHSC, NCSO, etc.) or a diploma, degree, or certification in OHS is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of AB/BC/SK legislation; federal NSC compliance knowledge is a plus
- Clear, confident communicator who thrives in high-volume, tech-forward environments
- Experience with task management platforms (Asana preferred)
- External auditor certification is an asset (or eligible to apply)

**Our Core Values: The Foundation of Hutton Safety Group**

At Hutton Safety Group, our core values shape everything we do—from how we serve our clients to how we support one another as a team.
- We believe in **Innovation with Purpose**, continuously challenging the status quo with creative and effective solutions.
- **Integrity Through Accountability** is at our core; we take ownership of our actions and turn challenges into opportunities for growth.
- We are **Brilliant at the Basics**, understanding that mastery of foundational work leads to exceptional results.
- Our team is committed to **Relentless Growth**, always striving for improvement, embracing new technologies, and fostering professional development.
- **Winning as One** means we work collaboratively, valuing respect, thoughtful communication, and shared success.
- And above all, we believe in **Leadership in Action**, setting the standard in our industry through excellence, community impact, and a commitment to doing more than what’s required.

If these values resonate with you, and you’re excited to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team, we’d love for you to apply
