We are Sprucehill Custom Homes and Renovations. An award winning, progressive and industry leading mid to high end custom home builder and renovator requiring an experienced and organized carpenter to join our team. The vast majority of our work takes place on the North Shore (Deep Cove to Lions Bay). But we also take on work in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Maple Ridge from time to time. Your professional attitude towards customer service, your teammates and your **uncompromising workmanship** is not optional (read more below about our team etc.) We are specifically looking for someone that can, with mínimal direction, successfully coordinate themselves in completing the following types of tasks: - minor framing - demo (surgical, tidy, clean) - interior finishing (hang doors, install trims...) - exterior finishing (rainscreen, window trims, soffit, hardi siding, sidewall shingles), ideally... - drywall install/repairs (not entire houses, but maybe a room?) - painting - basically, if it can be done to a house or apartment, you will likely have already done it in your career so far. Around here, the bar on workmanship is that it must be able to be reviewed by another contractor/carpenter and the only comment they should have be, "Wow, they did a good job." - have a minimum of 4 years of experience on **single family residential** job sites - a hunger to learn and better themselves - most, if not all, of their own tools - their own reliable transportation - ability to follow instruction - ability to fit into a team atmosphere - be available and happy to work 7:30 to 3:30 M-F - Red Seal is a bonus, not requisite In return for your experience, knowledge, hard work, and tools: - $38 to $45 per hour + 8% vacation/stat holiday pay Above and beyond your hourly pay, we provide: - **health benefits**: - $0.40/km mileage allowance when using your vehicle for work related business - Fuel price offset allowance - when prices are above $1.70/L, we help you with your fuel costs getting to and from work - Cell phone allowance or company phone if you prefer - **Partial or full FUNDING for **continuing education and training, if that's something that is of interest to you - Lots of room for advancement - We are currently looking at the viability of moving to a permanent 4 day work week A little more about us...
