Description:
As a Social Worker III, you will perform either advanced level assessment and treatment or act as a clinical lead. You will work with or within teams to provide health care services for patients with complex and multidimensional medical, psychosocial, environmental and instrumental needs. You will provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families and supervision of students and team members as assigned. You may also act as a clinical lead providing leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement and evaluation or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).

**Required Qualifications**:
Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Minimum 3 years' experience in the mental health field required. Minimum 2 years working within a community mental health program required. Experience working with a Forensic mental health population. Active working knowledge of current Mental Health legislation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills & interviewing techniques. Recent Domestic/Intimate partner violence Group therapy skills (within the last 3-5 years). In-depth knowledge of mental health/mental illness. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions required. Must be authorized to perform restricted psychosocial activities. Training in CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy is required.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Recent community mental health experience working with Forensic populations preferred. Active working knowledge of Criminal Justice Systems preferred. Couples & Family therapy an asset. Knowledge of current Domestic Violence and general violence risk tools preferred.
