Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a** Maintenance** **Technician **for the Fort McKay location, Monday
- Friday 8hrs/ days. Maybe required to work overtime. Reporting to the General Foreman, your primary **Maintenance** **Technician **responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following.

**What you will do**:

- Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and maintain overhead cranes, welding machines, burning tables, sandblast equipment, and facility.
- Maintain, repair, or replace defective parts, and make suggestions for potential improvements.
- Follow preventative maintenance programs and maintain records.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, shop air compressors, voltages under 750 volts.
- Repair of forklifts and mobile equipment
- Conduct equipment inspections as required.
- Maintain site services vehicles.
- Understanding of control circuitry.
- Comply with all safety rules and practices as set by Occupational Health and Safety, and WHI
- Any other tasks as required.

**Your qualifications**:

- A Journeyman Millwright or Journeyperson Electrician with a minimum of five years’ experience.
- Certified Technician with positive exposure to all aspects of maintenance in the steel repair and/or steel manufacturing industry.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in in an industrial environment - knowledge of industry & products, quality management and continuous improvement processes
- Valid fall protection, and elevated work platform certificate
- Valid certification for operating a forklift.
- Additional safety certificates are an asset.
