**We are looking to hire a full-time REGISTERED Veterinary Technician to join our team at Speedvale Pet Hospital**

Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to provide support and guidance to new veterinary technician graduates. We are focused on offering the highest level of care and medical support to our community. We look forward to hearing from all new applicants.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations/surgeries
- Maintaining a calm and focused attitude during all situations, including high stress, emergency and surgery situations
- Handling incoming phone calls, helping clients to book appointments and to place food orders
- Communicating with clients before and after appointments regarding their visits
- Restraining animals during medical procedures
- Caring for hospitalized patients during the day
- Confident and comfortable with blood draws, intubation, performing dental cleanings, X-rays.
- Performing surgical monitoring during procedures, cleaning and sterilization of surgical tools and equipment, surgery packs.
- General cleaning duties

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Registered Veterinary Technician: 6 month minimum (preferred)
- Experience with Avi Mark a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
