Manager, Ziva Services

**The opportunity**

Unity's Emerging Technologies team seeks an inspirational leader who can drive forward the future of character animation technology. You will build a new team responsible for helping our customers embrace Ziva's innovative technologies, and help them set a new quality standard for character and facial animation. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Creative Technology, you will devise and roll out both turnkey and consultancy-based services that allow our customers to benefit from Ziva's groundbreaking simulation and animation tools.

We partner with VFX and AAA game studios to create high-fidelity character assets and assist customers in integrating these tools into their pipelines. Your team will build, and guide our customers through building, top-quality creatures and characters, and optimize the character authoring pipeline to enhance our customers' success and improve Ziva's products for everyone.

As the team's Manager, you will guide your team through the successful completion of character-authoring projects for our customers, and ensure our customers receive the assistance they need to successfully use Ziva's technology in their workflows. You will generate novel ideas for services, test them in the market, and ensure they benefit both Unity and our customers. You will nurture success through communication, organization, process, and passion.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Cultivate a team of skilled character creators able to deliver high-fidelity characters with Ziva's software.
- Keep your team abreast of upcoming features and ensure that your team's field experience guides improvements in our products.
- Develop processes, service frameworks, and enablement materials that structure our customer relationships for success.
- Grow and support a network of partner studios capable of performing high-end character and creature authoring with Ziva's tools.

**What we're looking for**
- You have been a lead technical director, lead character technical artist, or similar technical-artistic leader who has delivered a AAA game title or character motion for a feature film.
- You have built multidisciplinary teams consisting of both engineering and artistic experts.
- You have experience setting up processes for managing multiple concurrent projects, tracking an art production pipeline, and managing schedules.
- You understand the diverse roles and production stages involved in the creation and delivery of feature films or video games, and how production requirements impact schedules, requirements, and problem-solving strategies.

**You might also have**
- Been a production director, VFX technical director, or technical animator.
- Experience using 4D volumetric capture or motion capture tools to create animation for real-time 3D.
- Experience creating character/creature authoring and animation pipelines for real-time 3D engines such as Unity or Unreal.
