**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team In this rewarding role, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering outstanding care to pets while ensuring a calm, welcoming environment for clients. While **1+ year of veterinary or animal care experience is preferred**, we are eager to train motivated individuals with a genuine passion for animal welfare.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and surgeries.
- Handle and restrain animals gently and safely.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update client files.
- Sterilize equipment, clean exam rooms, and ensure clinic hygiene.
- Provide compassionate client communication and education.
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and prepare lab samples.
- Perform basic administrative tasks (scheduling, answering calls).
- Knowledge of Avimark Veterinary Software is a bonus

**Job Requirements**:

- **Preferred**: 1+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic, shelter, or animal care role.
- Empathetic, patient, and comfortable working with animals of all sizes/temperaments.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending).

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
