POSITION: Leasing Billing & Budgets Clerk
REPORTING TO: Director, Corporate Accountant/Budget Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Leasing Administration
LOCATION: Markham
This is a full-time position
JOB SUMMARY:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain schedules and carry out administrative functions for the Director, including weekly billings
- Prepare broker requisitions and release of cheques
- Prepare budgets and work with managers to develop consolidated budgets ensuring compliance with corporate policies and leasing fees
- Assist with analysis and follow-ups, recommending corrective actions as required
- Work closely with the accounting department as required
- Liaise with managers to address variances as required
- Review, recommend and implement new administrative procedures to improve the billing process
- Gather data and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business; proficiency in math is required
- 2 - 4 years billing and administrative experience preferred
- Experience in the Real Estate/Leasing space a strong asset
- Advanced knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Word
- Experience with JD Edwards is preferred
- Solid understanding of lease documentation and legal terms
- Excellent administrative skills with strong attention to detail and highly developed organization skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-player, self-starter and adaptable to change
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
