We are currently seeking a highly motivated Learning Events Lead to play a pivotal role in creating memorable and successful events that meet stakeholder and organizational goals. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to adapt to dynamic event environments.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:
**Event Planning**:

- Partner with Learning Solution Specialists for guidance on event planning and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine event objectives, goals and budget.
- Select suitable venues, caterers and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Create detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and task lists.
- Coordinate and arrange event logistics, such as transportation, accommodations, and equipment.

**Vendor Management**:

- Source and manage vendors, including venues and audio-visual technicians and any other necessary vendors
- Ensure vendors meet quality and performance standards
- Oversee contract negotiations, payments, and billing for services

**Guest and Participant Relations**:

- Develop and execute attendee communication
- Provide excellent customer service to attendees and participants
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised during the event

**Event Execution**:

- Supervise event setup, ensuring all elements are in place and functional in person or remotely
- Handle any unforeseen issues or emergencies during the event
- Ensure events run smoothly and according to the established plan

**Budget Management**:

- Monitor event expenses and adhere to the budget
- Submit invoices to accounts payable and process
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports
- Evaluate event profitability and provide cost-saving recommendations

**Post-Event Evaluation**:

- Gather feedback from attendees, delegates and stakeholders to assess event success
- Analyze the event’s performance against objectives and make recommendations for improvementsComplete post-event reports and summaries

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure all events comply with legal and safety regulations
- Implement security measures to safeguard attendees and assets

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Proven experience in event planning and coordination or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, project management and multitasking skills
- Excellent communications and interpersonal abilities
- Negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
