**Position Highlights**

ICBC’s People, Culture and Sustainability division is seeking an experienced Manager Compensation to join our Total Rewards team. The Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, operational expertise and technical guidance to a team of compensation professionals. The Manager Compensation leads a team of 5 skilled professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Operationalizes the compensation strategy and supports the development and implementation of compensation programs that provide a competitive level of pay, motivation, and reward within the organization.
- Manages the delivery of ongoing operational activities including acting pay, salary recommendation, job evaluation, and annual salary review.
- Leads or conducts research on compensation trends and practices to identify opportunities for compensation programs.
- Leads annual ministry reporting and oversees all compliance reporting, including compensation analysis, annual report development, and salary surveys. Provides data to support board reporting.
- Oversees compensation projects in collaboration with the Manager Compensation and Organizational Design. Recommends changes that will enhance compensation programs in alignment with business strategy.
- Plans, selects, coaches and ensures team members are meeting the department goals and mentors team members on their individual development goals.

**Position Requirements**
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A professional designation such as CCP, GRP, or similar in an asset.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in compensation, conducting job evaluations and implementing compensation programs, including unionized roles.
- 3 to 6 years of experience leading professional teams, in interaction with various partners including, HR and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication both verbally and in writing; ability to explain technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws, regulations and statues.
- Experience in large and complex organizations, preferably within the public sector.
- Knowledge of project management, business planning, process improvements, cost/benefit analysis.
- Experience with SAP Success Factors is considered an asset.

**Work arrangements defined**:

- ** Hybrid 8**- you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
