**About you**:

The corporate communications and marketing specialist role will consist of approximately 90% communications and marketing and 10% event and admin support.
**Corporate Communications and Marketing Specialist Objectives (90%)**:
- Own, develop and execute on communication strategies, plans and activities, thinking of all key stakeholders and audiences
- Produce well written, professional communications to be distributed both internally and externally
- Execute a wide variety of marketing communication using graphic design and other relevant software
- Communicate in a style consistent with the QFS brand - keeping it fresh and on point to maximize employee and advisor engagement
- Support senior leadership and executives, providing information to ensure leadership at all levels is kept up to date on external communication strategies
- Generate ideas for new and contemporary ways of communicating
- Develop and implement creative, fresh ideas that will move the brand and company forward
- Research and introduce new forms of technology to improve communications
**Event and Admin Support Objectives (10%)**:
- Responsible for booking all travel and accommodation as needed
- Track all event RSVPs and communicate as needed
- Track campaigns, prepare performance analysis reports of post campaigns and marketing recommendations to concurrent programs for corrective modifications
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning and filing
- Assist with various miscellaneous requests and projects from time to time
- Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required
**Desired Qualifications/Capabilities**:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a communications role or appropriate post-secondary degree
- Bilingual is an asset
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills
- Ability to present communication concepts verbally
- Advanced command of the English language
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Effective listening and verbal communication
- Effective time management skills for personal workload
- Honest and ethical behavior
- Good judgment and strong interpersonal skills
