SALARY: $66,203 (MIN) - $82,836 (MAX)
The Supervisor, Medical Device Reprocessing is responsible for facilitating the delivery of quality service
for timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal
departments; supervising and developing human resources, developing and maintaining inter-department
linkages; performing administrative responsibilities and following a program of quality assurance. The
Supervisor promotes the development of a motivated and cohesive team and supports educational
strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to processing practices and service delivery. The
interpersonal skills.
**Education: **
Business Administration Diploma or relevant post-secondary education from an accredited
institution required
Graduate of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program required
**Certificates/Experience/Knowledge: **
Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT) required.
Member of Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO) required
Three (3) years of recent experience in MDR, in a leadership capacity required
Good working knowledge of instrument tracking systems and operating room instrumentation
required
Knowledge and applied experience of healthcare MDRD requirements, management staff in a
unionized environment required
Canadian Standard Association (CSA) Group Certification an asset
**Skills/Abilities**:
Self-motivated with demonstrated critical thinking and strong analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
Proven ability of interdepartmental collaboration and the ability to motivate other
Strong computer skills, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure personal safety, safety of fellow workers, patients,
volunteers, and visitors
Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events
required
Must demonstrate good attendance
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a
requirement
