Minds On is a registered charity that began as a drop-in center, offering free lessons and tutoring to marginalized elementary-aged school children. We have been collaborating with the local school board for several years and continue to offer free tutoring services with qualified secondary school and university tutors across virtual campuses in underserved communities.
**Job description - Project Coordinator**
We are looking for a responsible Project Coordinator to support our team in organizing and implementing Minds On project plans, from simple activities to more complex plans.The Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our leadership team to prepare comprehensive action plans, determine resources needed, timeframes and budgets for each project. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with community partners and internal teams to manage project expectations and facilitate delivery of results.
The Project Coordinator’s main duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, with high quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
- Work in collaboration with administrative assistant and executive team to coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
- Determine and set action plans and timeframes for various tasks within given projects.
- Liaise with community partners and clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives of each project.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
- Help prepare budgets
- Oversee project procurement management
- Monitor project progress reporting and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Payroll management
- Assisting with grant searches and proposals
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through measuring impact metrics and assisting with annual reports
**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Advanced Communication Skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Once Hired)
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $22.50 per hour
**Experience**:
- College diploma Preferred.
- Administrative Assistant experience preferred
