Bakery Manager

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Supervise daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and presentation of baked goods
- Manage and train bakery staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
- Operate Square POS for sales transactions and cash handling
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in accordance with health codes
- Monitor product quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate with cafe staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving customers with professionalism and friendliness
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, food service, or hospitality roles, preferably within the food industry or bakery environment
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar POS systems; cash handling experience is essential
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on training, mentoring, and motivating staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Background in restaurant management or hotel experience is a plus; barista or food handling experience is advantageous
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food quality and safety standards
- Strong desire to live in a remote coastal town.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
