Geotechnical/environmental Driller and Assistant

**Marathon Underground is currently seeking full-time Geotechnical/Environmental Drillers and Assistants to join our growing team in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.**

**Driller**:

- 1-3 years experience with vertical drilling operations, experience with CME55/75/850 or equivalent
- Experience with Diedrich D50/D70
- Confident operating and maintaining Geo-technical drill rigs
- Employing rock coring, mud rotary, and auger drilling techniques
- Developing and maintaining boring logs and daily reports
- Well Drilling License is considered strong asset

**Driller’s Assistant**:

- Minimum of 1-year experience with drilling operations and 1-year general construction experience
- Collecting disturbed and undisturbed soil samples and rock samples and data at various depth intervals
- Recording basic material descriptions, depth of material, changes, water level measurements and results of down-hole tests

**All positions**
- DZ/AZ license and a clean drivers abstract is considered a strong asset.
- A valid driver’s license is **required** for all positions
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and shift work as required
- Job sites are outside and operate year-round. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently throughout the day

**Salary**: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
