Be our next **Junior Environmental/Geotechnical Field Technician **

**Your work environment at EXP**

In this role, you will be a part of the **Earth & Environmental **team, based in **Sudbury, ON **office.

**What a day at EXP has in store for you**
- Project coordination, fieldwork, and reporting for a variety of sites in northeastern Ontario using standard field methodologies and protocols under guidance of senior engineers/professionals
- Writing clear and concise field inspection reports
- Reviewing laboratory and field inspection reports
- Executing field work including, but not limited to:

- Groundwater and surface water sampling
- Test pit and borehole drilling supervision and sample logging (both geotechnical and geo-environmental)
- Water level measurements, and piezometer readings
- Environmental Site Assessments and site inspection (Phase I and Phase II)

**What your experience looks like**
- Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician or Technology Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering)
- 1+ years of related field experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) in English, French an asset.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of AutoCAD, gINT, and Microsoft Office
- Must be comfortable working in the field on construction and mining project sites and traveling out of town, possibly for several days' duration
- Strong people skills and ability to work with the wide variety of staff and clients
- A valid Canadian driver’s license is required and access to a vehicle is desired (mileage allowance is provided)
