Job Summary: Support the ongoing operations of the Shorewater Resort in Qualicum Beach including; exceptional hospitality and guest services, manage bookings, train and support staff, ensure cleanliness of units, maintain financial records for bookkeeper, and support website maintenance and online channel marketing.

Reports to: Rental Group

Type of Employment: Full-time, permanent, on-site ($22-26/hour depending on experience)

COMPENTENCIES

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

**CUSTOMER SERVICE**:
1. Provide high level of customer service in-person, over the phone and online
2. Manage bookings, and effectively utilize and maintain all platforms for online reservations (ie

3. Check guests in/out, manage requests and concerns
4. Ensure guest access and enjoyment of common property (ie. maintain laundry, lawn furniture, recycling/garbage collection, winter shoveling/salting, etc.)

**ADMINISTRATION**:
1. Maintains appropriate records, provides information to bookkeeping
2. Complete payroll and accounts payable
3. Liase with Rental Group (provide quarterly reports, field individual inquires)
4. Website maintenance, computer system, phone system, and general office equipment
5. Conducts all business and government filings according to policy and procedure
6. Website maintenance

**HUMAN RESOURCES**:
1. Schedule and supervise supporting staff
2. Hire and train all new staff
3. Ensure ECB requirements are met and records on file are up to date
4. Complete T-4’s and ROEs (with assistance from bookkeeper)

**HOUSEKEEPING**:
1. Ensure exceptional cleaning standards are met in each room
2. Manage common stock and housekeeping supplies
3. Supporting housekeepers (stripping rooms, carrying laundry, stocking rooms, etc.)
4. Fill in and assist cleaning team as needed
5. Report to owners maintenance issue and coordinate upgrading projects

**GENERAL**:
1. Professional with high integrity and ability to learn on the job/handle things as they arise
2. Familiar with Oceanside area and things to do and see in the area, willing to participate in industry groups etc. as required
3. Comfortable with the Resort site and communicating with multiple stakeholders - guests, long term tenants, owners
4. Participates in Resort activities as requested, annual meetings, engagement sessions, performance reviews, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

**EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**:
1. 5+ years of related experience
2. Demonstrated customer service and use of technology and social media
3. Post secondary education/training an asset

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/WORK CONDITIONS

1. Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
2. Regular work hours to be determined, daytime hours only. Weekend work will be required.
3. Valid BC Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle required
4. Estimated start: March/April
