Dozy is a locally owned and operated mattress brand that started in Toronto in 2017. We sell mattresses and sleep accessories made in Canada. Over the past few years, Dozy has garnered notoriety as the top-rated local mattress brand in the city. In particular, we focus on creating and curating sleep products that appeal to Toronto's diversity, including students, newcomers to Canada, singles, young couples, families, seniors, and everyone in between.

**Job Summary**

**Core Responsibilities of the Job**
- Greet customers as they come into the store
- Create a helpful and professional culture including conduct and appearance (i.e business casual attire, friendly communication, positive attitude, etc.)
- Answer customer questions as needed or direct customer to other team members where appropriate
- Provide no-pressure sales advice by giving the customer space to make an informed decision
- Keep storefront presentable by performing light cleaning, product facing, and replenishment
- Sell mattresses and other sleep products (bedding, pillows, bed frames, etc.)
- Educate customers about our mattresses, bed frames, and accessories
- If you don’t know, we’ll teach you
- Manage store inventory by keeping track of stock and updating the operations team as needed
- Provide customer service and support when needed
- Filtering customer concerns or questions accordingly
- Upholding company values and policies where applicable
- Performing opening and closing duties including key holding, signage, etc.
- Communicating with team members when needed

**Job Requirements**

**Eligibility**
- English proficiency
- Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must have the ability to travel to store location with reliable transportation methods

**Experience**
- Previous customer service or sales experience is an asset

- Work is accomplished as part of a team and also independently
- Work may involve managing conflict, mediating problems, or de-escalating customer issues
- Work involves reaching out to meet and build relationships with strangers/new people, and strengthening existing customer relationships
- Work is sometimes conducted on a computer or other technical devices including meeting with others virtually
- Work involves moving through the store to help customers but also involves sitting for extended periods (i.e more than 1 hour)
- Work may occasionally involve moving boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
