Job Title: Production Specialist - Italian Kitchen

Position Summary:
The Production Specialist in an Italian kitchen is responsible for preparing authentic Italian dishes with precision and passion. This role involves executing traditional recipes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and working collaboratively within a dynamic team to deliver a genuine Italian culinary experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble Italian dishes, including pasta, sauces, antipasti, and other specialties, following authentic recipes

Ensure all dishes meet quality, flavour, and presentation standards reflecting Italian cuisine

Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards per health regulations

Operate kitchen equipment such as deli slicers, ovens, and other specialized tools safely and effectively

Assist in ingredient inventory management, including sourcing and proper storage of fresh produce, cheeses, meats, and dry goods

Collaborate with chefs and team members to ensure timely and efficient food production

Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked for smooth operations

Monitor portion sizes and consistency to uphold the integrity of traditional recipes

Support the training of team members on Italian cooking techniques and standards

Qualifications:
Prior experience in Italian cuisine or a culinary environment is preferred

Knowledge of traditional Italian ingredients and cooking methods

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines

Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

Passion for authentic Italian cuisine and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods during busy service times

Ability to handle repetitive tasks such as ingredient prep

Repetitive movements typical of kitchen work, including chopping, stirring, and lifting

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (required)
